Jane T. Nguyen, M.D. | Smeena Khan, M.D. | Khoa Tran, M.D.
is a board-certified dermatologist and co-founder of Dermatology Center of Loudoun. Her areas of special interest are skin cancer and pediatric dermatology. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology and the Medical Society of Virginia.
Dr. Nguyen was raised in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. She attended the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. Subsequently, she received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Nguyen completed her dermatology residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. During that time she published numerous scientific articles and presented at several national dermatology meetings. Upon completion of her dermatology training in 2003, Dr. Nguyen remained on the teaching faculty at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania while working in private practice for several years in the Philadelphia area.
She currently lives in Loudoun County with her family and is on staff at INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne, Virginia. She is excited to make a significant contribution to the dermatologic needs of her community for years to come. She enjoys tennis, skiing, golf, and travel.

is a board-certified dermatologist in practice for almost 10 years. Her areas of special interest are cosmeceuticals and anti-aging treatments, pediatric dermatology and auto-immune skin diseases. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Khan was raised in Montreal, Canada and completed her undergraduate training at McGill University where she was awarded her Bachelors of Science Degree with Honors. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine where she was one of only 6 in her class to be inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Her post-graduate training included a residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania where she was selected from amongst her class to serve as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Dr. Khan practiced for several years in Dallas at the Baylor University Health Care System and was in private practice in Sterling for 5 years before joining the Dermatology Center of Loudoun.
Dr. Khan has published numerous articles on dermatology, has written several textbook chapters and is an editor of the online textbook emedicine.com in Dermatology. Dr. Khan’s contributions to her community include participating in skin cancer screenings, lecturing to students about a career in dermatology and volunteering on her children’s school board.

is a co-founder of Dermatology Center of Loudoun and a full-time laser specialist. He received his medical degree at New York Medical College in 1999 and completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Tran continued as a clinical instructor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical College and taught hospital medicine at the Lankenau Hospital, outside Philadelphia, for four years prior to moving back to northern Virginia.
Dr. Tran is board-certified in internal medicine and has received specialized training and certification in laser medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. His major interests include non-ablative laser treatments for cosmetic and medical benefit, as well as combination laser and topical protocols to enhance clinical outcomes. He has enjoyed a great following in the community from his scientific approach to laser medicine and willingness to educate patients about laser procedures, along with other modalities available to them at DCL. Dr. Tran performs every cosmetic consultation, treatment, and follow-up visit himself.
