Vivace Microneedling RF
As you age, the effects of your genetics, UV rays, and the environment accumulate to break down your skin and its supportive structure. The goal of many of our therapies is to stimulate and revive your skin’s waning ability to rebuild itself.
Vivace represents the next generation of microneedling technology, featuring RF energy, for maximal stimulation of skin rejuvenation. Gone are the days of “vampire” needle devices leaving a bloody immediate outcome and questionable long-term outcome. Vivace uses an array of superfine needles (almost as fine as a brush’s bristles) whose application and penetration is robotically controlled and fine-tuned to each patient’s skin and skin issues, such as: wrinkles, laxity, acne and other scars, large pores and other textural issues.
RF energy is released only at the lower pole of the needles, thus controlled thermal injury is limited only to the lower dermal layer of skin, where the stimulation of collagen, elastin, and other structural components occurs. Because this process occurs entirely underneath the skin, Vivace is safe on even darker skin, and in the summer months. Vivace also allows deeper targeted delivery of topical peptides, growth factors, PRP, and other nutrients of skin remodeling.
Most importantly, based on Vivace’s characteristics above, treatments are hugely more comfortable than ablative laser treatments of the past, and causes no downtime.
What does it feel like?
Vivace is meant to be a comfortable procedure with little to no pain or discomfort. Numbing cream is applied 30-45 minutes prior to the treatment to maximize comfort; no other anesthesia is necessary. Patient’s report feeling either nothing, or sporadic light pinches or pressure.
Does Microneedling hurt?
The personalized compounded numbing cream, the most effective numbing cream available, is applied 30 to 45 minutes prior to the treatment to ensure a comfortable patient experience throughout the treatment. Many testimonials from patients say they found the treatment to be in a range of comfortable to virtually painfree. The Vivace was designed with patient comfort in mind.
What would my recovery time be?
There is usually no significant recovery time after a Vivace treatment. Patients leave our office with some mild redness and by the same afternoon or evening are ready to go about their usual activities. We do recommend using the nutritive serum (included with the treatment), mild moisturizers, and extra sun-protection for the week following your treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The formal treatment protocol calls for 4 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. The goal of treatment is to repeatedly stimulate dermal remodeling in the form of collagen and elastin production. This is a natural process that essentially would not happen to this degree without these types of treatments.
