Our new Ultra Lase MD™ features a thulium laser that is unique in its ability to resurface and rejuvenate the skin without ablating or vaporizing it. The laser treatment can be fine-tuned based on its energy delivery and number of passes on the skin to deliver treatments that are mild to moderate in intensity. Given that this laser targets water within skin cells and not pigment, it is “color blind” and can be used safely on all skin tones throughout the year.
Another added benefit of the Ultra Lase MD™ is its ability to create microscopic channels (thermal zones) in the skin that both stimulate skin healing and rejuvenation as well as providing an avenue for serums that contain antioxidants, collagen stimulants, or lightening agents to go just where they need to work.

Is it the right laser treatment for me?
This is a fantastic treatment for anyone looking for that quick “glow”, what we call the UltraGlo™, or deeper, more long-lasting skin rejuvenation – so, most of us!
What does it feel like and how long does it take?
Treatments take anywhere from 10-20 minutes on the face (other regions can also be treated). The laser is rolled over the surface of the skin and can feel warm and “prckly”. Surface UltraGlo™ treatments may not require any type of numbing or just cold air on the skin. More intense Ultra rejuvenation treatments may call for about 15-30 minutes of topical numbing cream in the office prior to the treatment.
What is the recovery like?
We don’t regard this treatment as one to cause “downtime.” In most cases there is redness that may last 2-5 days but will not prevent you from work or your normal daily activities. You can start wearing sunscreen and make-up the next day. Avoid intense sun exposure for at least a week. Patients also usually feel a sandpaper, gritty texture to their skin that is not visually noticeable for about a week. This can either be exfoliated off with a home scrub or will just naturally exfoliate.
How long does it take to see results?
Patients usually can see more even skin tone and brightening within a week or two of their first treatment! Changes in texture and general rejuvenation will take a series of treatments spaced out about a month apart, but results are apparent as the treatments progress.
